01 / The project

Explaining a service
through images.

RIVES is developing autonomous, self-service paddleboard rental stations. The film was intended to explain the concept, its uses, the technology of the station, and the services offered for network development.

The station's industrial 3D files, storyboard, narrative, branding elements and visual proposals served as the basis for a production combining 3D animation and motion design.

I created the modeling and textures for the paddle and the paddle itself, then handled the staging, lighting, and rendering. The work continues with the transitions, editing, integration of the studio footage, and the landscape and portrait versions.

The challenge

To make a technical product immediately understandable without losing the lifestyle and accessible dimension of the paddleboarding experience.

02 / The creation of equipment

To give form.
Working with the material.

Beyond the station, the paddle and the paddle are part of the 3D creation work: objects to build, texture and integrate into the film.

01 /MODELING & TEXTURES

Paddleboarding.

A focus on volumes, proportions and surfaces to give the paddle its presence in the scenes.

  • 3D model construction
  • Creating and applying textures
  • Adjusting materials and their reaction to light
02 /MODELING & TEXTURES

The carbon paddle.

Geometry and materials are worked together to create a lightweight and technical carbon paddle, consistent with the visual universe of the product.

  • Modeling of shapes and details
  • Working with carbon fiber and its finishes
  • Integration into the film's framing and lighting
03 / TEXTURESThe material, up close.

A close-up shot to show the action of the paddle surfaces.

04 / FINISHESAttention to detail.

A view dedicated to the shapes, finishes and appearance of the carbon in the paddle.

The station's industrial files were provided as a working basis. The modeling and textures of the paddle and paddle complete this production.

03 / The variations

The same story.
Another frame.

The film was produced in landscape and portrait formats to suit different distribution methods.

Landscape

A broad framework for discovering the station, its environment and how the service works.

Portrait

A vertical version to extend the presentation of the project onto mobile screens.

Two delivery formats, one visual continuity between 3D, motion design and editing.

04 / The realization

Intention
upon delivery.

A production that links the creation of the equipment, the staging of the service and the finishing touches of the film.

  1. 01

    Create the equipment.

Model the paddle and the paddle, work on their textures and materials to integrate them into the world of the film.

  2. 02

    To stage the station.

Utilize the provided 3D files and construct framings that make the product and its functions legible.

  3. 03

    Linking usage and technology.

Combining 3D animation, motion design and studio sequences to tell the story of how things work without overloading the film.

  4. 04

    Decline the campaign.

Finalize the editing and then produce versions adapted to landscape and portrait formats.

A film produced with multiple uses in mind.

From modeled equipment to finished films, a production adapted to different media.

  • Paddleboarding & Paddle Modeling
  • Textures & materials
  • 3D animation
  • Motion design
  • Complete assembly
  • Portrait & landscape exports
